Often these barriers are ignored entirely, otherwise they must be explicated by unconvincing assertions of personal merit or luck or fate. They are the boundaries of a system we all perpetuate each day with our discreet actions. Here Buñuel makes a simple, yet radical, proposal: what if a boundary was misplaced, and became a hinderance to those it would ordinarily safeguard?
